The swig wrapper should be split into modules: http://www.swig.org/Doc1.3/Modules.html

This would allow to build ot_wrap.cpp on a computer with less than 2Gb of memory and would dramatically speed up the openturns build process.

Doing so would also break the API at native level but this could probably be fixed a python level.

Hi,

I find the documentation on wrappers pretty outdated. The templates are different in version 0.12.2, most of the code has been hidden in the WrapperMacros.h file (which is great) but the documentation does not follow. Even the comments in the templates are not related to the code (example of wrapper.c in the wrapper calling command lines).

Moreover, I faced a case where I had to use multiple files (not only the files that make the link between OT and the external code but also conf files for one of the code embedded). It is never written in the documentation that the files have to be added in the xml as input file, even if there is no interaction between these files and OT. I think it should be added.

When dealing with high size numerical samples (10 000 000 points and more), the performances are very bad : more than 4 hours to plot the sample histogram... Sometimes, you may have a crash with a 3 Go core file.

In the TUI, when we create a NumericalSample, then make a copy of it, then modify directly a component of any element of the copy, the corresponding element is modified in the original sample.
